Kosher Lamb Starter Box 1 — Boneless Shoulder & Baby Lamb Chops
Kosher Lamb Starter Box 1 — Boneless Shoulder & Baby Lamb Chops
Discover locally raised, pasture-raised kosher lamb with our first small-batch offering from Schoolhouse Farm.
This starter box features three individually packaged cuts from a young lamb, offering a wonderful introduction to traditional lamb cooking.
Our lamb is processed through kosher shechita and hand-butchered locally. Because these are young, smaller lambs, some cuts are petite. The meat is vacuum-sealed and frozen.

Suggested Cooking Instructions
Boneless Shoulder Roast: Season with garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Sear on all sides, then place in a covered roasting pan with a little broth. Cook at 300°F for approximately 2–3 hours, until fork-tender. Cooking time will depend on thickness.
Neck Roast: Brown the roast, then add onions, garlic, herbs, and enough broth to partially cover. Braise covered at 300°F for approximately 2½–3½ hours, until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart.
Baby Lamb Chops: Season lightly and sear in a hot skillet with a little oil. Because these chops are very small, cook briefly, checking doneness frequently. Aim for 145°F followed by a 3-minute rest.
Why Pasture-Raised and Bone-In?
Pasture-raised lamb can have a distinctive, savory flavor influenced by the grasses and forage the animals eat. Traditional bone-in cuts, marrow, and connective tissue can contribute richness and body to slow-cooked meals.
This is our first small-batch kosher lamb offering, and we're excited to share it with our local community.
